What's a MAG?

A MAG is a Media Assistance Grant that MCAT offers to area nonprofits. We offer up to 12 hours of staff time to film and/or edit a production for your organization. Examples include lectures, benefit concerts, special events or promotional videos. The grant recipient is the producer and responsible for all content. So - you provide the content and we provide the technical expertise. It's part of MCAT's mission toward community service! Now all you have to do is fill out our MAG form.

Ron's Page

Hi, I'm the primary MAG producer here at MCAT. It's my job to immortalize your nonprofit organization's event on video. After filming, I'll work my edit magic to make sure the picture and sound are as good as possible, along with creating some eye-popping titles and informative credits. The end result? All your organization's hard work is forever captured on DVD (or on the web if you prefer). Best yet - it's free! (Pix: the coolest sundog ever! Check out the "Dancing Sundog" on YouTube at bottom.)

You too can post your MAG movie on your own web site! Here's an example: the UM Wilderness Issues Lecture Series:

Enjoy yet more great University of Montana School of Music performances. Coming up soon: "Celebrate Piano Series," "Fusion IV," and music with Marko Ciciliani. (Pictured: the UM Percussion Ensemble from "Fusion IV.")

Join us for a 12-part series showcasing highlights in workshops and panels from the 2012 Permaculture Conference held at the University of Montana this past fall. It'll grow on you.
