Trainings

Here at MCAT, I'll

help you learn the

basics of production

to make a show on TV.

If you don't know how to edit, I'll show

you how.

If you don't know how to setup a TV

show, I'll train you

so you can.

If you need help getting your show on TV, I'll tell you how.

If you need someone to come to your school for media art

education, I'll come on down.

Here are some helpful Training Videos I've made to

help you at Home;

How to Export for DVD Studio Pro

and

How to make a basic

DVD with DVD Studio Pro

Now you can see how I train people at MCAT.

FINAL CUT PRO X

Now, I have had an opportunity to use Final Cut X, thanks to MCAT. I wanted to check out this highly controversial editing software myself and see what I thought.

Well, I opened the program and it looked like imovie.  But, don't get me wrong, I still tried it.  I loved it. So, far it is a

very user friendly program with all the final cut pro bells and

whistles. Well, yes it doesn't capture tape camcorders, but it

wasn't designed that way.  I believe it is more a head of its

time (not complaining here, I love it).  It is not for everyone.

I'll still give it a great big awesome thumbs up.

Here is a video I made of myself using Final Cut Pro X editing

with green screen special effects.  Amazing instant play back

and I feel as if this program lets me edit at the speed of

thought.  It is a breath of fresh air.

MCAT Producer's Handbook Video

Classic Orientation Video takes you step by step through the MCAT Producers Handbook. This is required viewing to become a bona fide MCAT producer.

Kodak Zi8 Camcorder

The Kodak Zi8 is my new favorite Handheld Camcorder!

We use these cameras during our Flagship Classes and

they are wonderful.  They record to a SDHC card on a 5

Mega Pixel CMOS sensor 1080p HD Footage.  They also

have a 1/8" mic input-great little video cameras!

Here is some test footage--click here and here.

Canon Vixa HF G10 Camcorder

I love the Canon Vixa HF G10 Camcorder!  It's an indy filmmaker's bestfriend.  It can shoot in cinema mode witch is in 24fp 1080 HD video.  Has wide angle lens which gives you that professional image.

Here is a test movie that I shot with it here.
